When Should You Use PPTM vs OTH?

PPTM vs OTH: Key Differences

• •PPTM and OTH diverge on compression: lossless compression for the source, lossless compression for the target.
• •Both formats share lossless compression, so quality behavior is similar across the two — file size differences come from algorithm efficiency rather than compression philosophy.
• •How transparency is handled: OTH supports transparency, so alpha information is preserved during conversion.
• •File sizes: PPTM files typically range 500KB to 50MB with media and OTH files 10KB to 500KB for typical templates.
• •Use case fit: PPTM targets interactive presentations, automated slide decks, business reporting and OTH targets web document templates, html-based forms, online publishing — your choice depends on which workflow stage you are serving.
