When Should You Use PPTX vs CBZ?

PPTX vs CBZ: Key Differences

• •PPTX uses lossy compression while CBZ uses lossy compression — both take the same approach to file size management.
• •Both formats share lossy compression, so quality behavior is similar across the two — file size differences come from algorithm efficiency rather than compression philosophy.
• •How transparency is handled: CBZ does not support alpha channels — transparent areas in the source will become opaque.
• •File sizes: PPTX files typically range 500KB to 50MB with media and CBZ files 10MB to 500MB per volume.
• •Primary audience: PPTX is built for presentations, slides, business meetings scenarios, while CBZ focuses on digital comics, manga, graphic novels — pick the format that matches your output requirement.
